BFH 800 Balancer Enables Faster Balances, Less Errors, More Profits

John Bean BFH 800 Wheel Balancer

May 24, 2007
The John Bean BFH 800 is the industry’s only fully automatic wheel balancer. Mount the tire and rim assembly on the shaft, lock in place with the patented PowerClamp and close the hood. No measurements of any kind are required. The BFH 800 even counts the spokes and determines the optimal weight type and placement. This leads to unprecedented increase in wheel service shop productivity - your balancing is completed faster than any other balancer available.

If you are balancing 4 tires for a vehicle, the Data Freeze function allows for the assumption that the rim and tire are the same size as the previously balanced assembly. This allows for reducing the balancing time to under 10 seconds. Spokes are still counted, weights placed, balance done.

This balancer was first shown to rave reviews at Automechanika last fall, and introduced to the North American Market at the NADA Convention in February.

Snap-on Equipment Histor - 1996: John Bean Company Introduces the World’s First Imaging Alignment System

Visualiner 3d 1996

May 24, 2007
On the heels of decades of successful innovation in conventional alignment systems, Snap-on Equipment invented the technology that would become the World’s First Imaging Alignment System. Following a public showing at the Paris Auto Show in 1996, the product was introduced shortly thereafter as the Visualiner 3D. As stated in the introductory brochure, "A New Dimension in Alignment Technology. The Visualiner uses 3-D modeling to determine wheel position in 3-dimensional space. This means that no gravity gauges are required and the rack doesn’t need to be level."

Continuous technological innovation since then has led to many productivity improvements, now allowing for a technician to get alignment readings in under 2 minutes. Roll back / Roll forward, the Arago self calibration imaging aligner and now ShortBay alignment maintains the John Bean imaging alignment system as the industry leader in Wheel Service Productivity.

Direct Caster Measurement Ensures Most Accurate Alignment Results

Caster Diagram

May 24, 2007
When a dimension is critical, do you calculate what you think it might be, or do you actually measure it? Only the John Bean V3D and Arago Imaging Alignment products actually measure the Caster during the alignment procedure. This allows for the most accurate results, which means a faster alignment job and happier customers in your shop. Other alignment systems merely calculate what they think the caster might be during the alignment process. This calculation must then be rechecked several times during the vehicle’s alignment including extra steps like the "Forced Caster Re-measurement". The John Bean technology differs by modeling the vehicle in 3 Dimensional space, determining where the spindles of each of the vehicle’s axles are. As a result, live adjustments can be performed. Only John Bean has 3 Dimensional modeling. Better technology, better results - just another reason why John Bean Alignment systems are the productivity leader in the Alignment Shop.
