Snap-on Equipment Wins Top 20 Honor with BFH 800

John Bean BFH 800 Wheel Balancer

September 10, 2007
Snap-on Equipment’s newest addition to its suite of productivity tools, the BFH 800, has been named to Motor Magazine’s Top 20 Tools for 2007. Each year the editorial staff at Motor Magazine recognizes 20 tools for the features and benefits they possess in assisting technicians with service performance and productivity.

"We are honored that the BFH 800 has been chosen to receive this award, and proud that this equipment was selected based on its ability to optimize and simplify the service performance of technicians," said Mike Alusick, product manager for Wheel Balancers at Snap-on Equipment.

The BFH 800 builds on a strong heritage of pioneering the best in imaging technology, and continues the legacy established by John Bean in 1996 with the development of the first imaging alignment system. This imaging technology is now available in wheel service, and once again the John Bean brand is synonymous with a ground-breaking first.

What distinguishes the BFH 800 from other balancers on the market? EVERYTHING.

The BFH 800 requires no manual measurements. The entire process of balancing your customer’s wheels is fully automatic, removing any chance for operator error. In less than 10 seconds the technician has a reliable and accurate balance, performed in three easy steps.

The first step is placing the wheel on the shaft. The BFH 800 automatically and securely clamps the wheel to the shaft. Next, lower the safety hood. With a combination of laser imaging and sonic sensors the BFH 800 automatically captures a real time 3D image, while recording and analyzing static and dynamic force measurements. Patented technology uses a laser dot to guide the operator to the precise weight application point, giving the BFH 800 superior accuracy.

The entire process is hands-free. Businesses never have to worry about cosmetic damage to rims caused by manual clamping. In an industry where tires and rims can be a major part of vehicle investment, and balancing these wheels is an important part of your business, why trust them to anything other than the best? The award-winning BFH 800 produces accurate results in less time than any other balancer in the industry, saving your businesses time and money.

We are proud to have produced a winner.

Are you balancing with a winner?

Snap-on Equipment Offers Complete Suite of Weight Saving Technologies

Weight Wizard Wheel Weight Management Software

Snap-on Equipment Reduces Weight Cost with an Industry First: Weight Tracking Software Weight Wizard

September 10, 2007
Once again Snap-on Equipment has advanced industry standards to bring the latest in productivity technology and savings to its customers. The company’s exclusive patent pending Weight Management System for wheel balancers, the innovative new Weight Wizard, puts weight management a screen away from shop owners.

The Wizard automatically records weight type and amount when the wheel is unclamped. This historical usage information is saved to a system file and can be retrieved at any time; a feature that can save you thousands of dollars a year.

By tailoring weight purchases to actual usage and location, businesses can effectively avoid excess expense and eliminate the waste accumulated by unused weights. Tracking will allow businesses to see patterns of usage and become an essential tool for smarter purchase decisions.

With environmental and health concerns dictating changes in weights from lead to steel, the cost of your wheel weights is increasing. Weight Wizard is an effective and simple way to offset additional costs businesses may incur due to these changes. This money-saving feature is available exclusively in Snap-on Equipment’s John Bean BFH 1000 and 800 model balancers.

Patented Performance: Increase Productivity With Wheel Dimensioning Plus

Wheel Dimensioning Plus

September 10, 2007
John Bean’s V3D aligners have more money-saving features than any other brand in the industry. These features include Wheel Dimensioning Plus, patented software that can save your shop time and money.

The exclusive Wheel Dimensioning Plus system uses high-resolution cameras to create three-dimensional models of the vehicle plane, wheel planes and the axis spindle of each tire. The system then uses the 3-D model to calculate the distance between the axis from driver side to rear-right passenger and front passenger to rear-left passenger, thus creating a "criss-cross" pattern of measurement. These measurements should be equal, if not, this is a strong indication that your customer’s vehicle has experienced frame damage (usually the result of a wreck). If repairs must be done before alignment can be achieved, the operator is aware of this before alignment is attempted, not after or during the job.

Knowing this saves you time and money, and no other product has anything like it!
