Snap-on Equipment Introduces The John Bean 9800 Heavy-Duty Wheel Balancer
March 25, 2009 -- John Bean announces the introduction of its latest Wheel Balancer: the 9800 Heavy-Duty Wheel Balancer. This wheel balancer’s robust design and pneumatic wheel lift make it the logical choice for those shops looking to boost profits when balancing truck, bus, RV and automobile tires. The 9800 easily handles wheel diameters from 12" to 24.5" and also "super-singles". It also provides dynamic, two-plane balancing and offers dramatically low cycle times - as low as 7 seconds, depending on tire size. The pneumatic wheel lift, a standard feature on EEWB543AW, aids in proper wheel mounting and reduces operator fatigue due to handling heavy wheel assemblies. The 9800 also offers automatic data entry of both distance and diameter via the inner auto-assist data input arm, for improved accuracy and repeatability. Mike Alusick, John Bean’s Balancer Product Manager, states "We pride ourselves on delivering valued productivity solutions to our customers, and the 9800 Heavy-Duty Wheel Balancer will do this. It reduces balancing times for multiple wheel sets, and enables any technician in the shop to balance tires. Combined with its easy-to-use, technician-friendly features, the 9800 provides quick, right-the-first-time balances for the fastest productivity payback in the industry."
The 9800 allows the technician to run self-diagnostic programs and can be re-calibrated in the field, ensuring accuracy and avoiding down time. The 9800 Wheel Balancer adds to John Bean’s heavy-duty product line, joining Mobile Column Lifts and 4-Post Lifts.
