March 25, 2009 -- Snap-on Equipment announces the introduction of its latest specialty lift: the heavy-duty Mobile Column Lift system. Designed to be easy to operate and to perform under the extreme demands required by today’s heavy-duty vehicles, these mobile lifts are ideal for transport fleets, schools, government and military applications. The system is comprised of powerful column lifts placed directly at the wheels and a computer-controlled communication device that safely and accurately synchronizes the lifting process. The lifts can be used in the single column, paired column, and 4 or 6-column configurations, providing unparalleled flexibility. Each column is capable of handling 16,000 lbs., providing a maximum capacity of 96,000 lbs. in the 6-column configuration. Gary Diangelo, Snap-on Equipment’s Lift Product Manager, states, "This portable and rugged system is a great addition to any heavy-duty shop. It will dramatically cut repair times and can be used anywhere. Setup times are much faster than with competitor’s units thanks to our smaller footprint and advanced design. No need to bring the vehicle to the lift - you can now bring the lift to the vehicle, anytime, anywhere. And, of course, the Mobile Column Lift system carries the industry’s best safety certifications."

Continuing Snap-on Equipment’s leadership in Lift safety, the heavy-duty Mobile Column Lift system is ALI/ETL certified to the current, ANSI/ALI ALCTV 2006 specifications, is equipped with emergency lowering controls in the event of power outages, incorporates independent locking devices, and has non-contact limit and safety-switches.

Available optional accessories include: Small Wheel Adapters to allow vehicles with smaller tire diameters to be serviced; Chassis Crossbeams for level, two-tier lifting; Light Vehicle Adapters to allow two-column systems to be positioned both in front and behind the vehicle with full wheel-service capability; High Axle Stands to fix the vehicle in the raised position so that the Mobile Column Lift system can be used elsewhere.
